The village of Berrie was recommended to the importers when they asked Arnaud Lambert, "which area will be the next Brézé?"  The Cabernet Franc from the fortress shows some of the ripeness from the vineyard with red roses, cherries and dark plums, but the underlying Franc-ness is the true foundation of the wine.  Green peppercorn, wild herbs, fresh cut grass, cedar forest, violets and snappy red fruit.
