True to form, this private label from a well-known, well-respected, high-end winemaker is unable to disclose the fruit source, but deductive reasoning leads us to believe it is a source which Benoit Touquette works with already. For a ripe vintage, this wine is showing cooler aromas of figs, Medjool dates, mulberries and bitter chocolate. A meaty aroma trends towards herbs, typically indicating underripe tannins, but this is far from the case here, with a silky texture that only a handful of winemakers are capable of.
