Failla Chardonnay Fort Ross-Seaview 2018
Estate vineyard right near the Pacific Ocean that’s entirely dry-farmed. These cool, difficult growing conditions result in low yields but high, intense quality. Aged for 11 months in 15% new French oak, 30% Nomblot concrete egg and 10% stainless. This leads to a unique Chardonnay for California, lean, mineral, and grainy with sturdy acidity and light citrus aromas. Crème brȗlée as well as stone fruits such as apricot and peach are found on the palate, leading to a crisp and creamy finish.
