65% Merlot 25% Zinfandel, 5% Grenache, and 5% Syrah. This unusual blend is a delicious and very approachable California take on the Rhône. The red and black fruit aromas of blackberry, black cherry, red plum, and raspberry are fresh and crunchy, given extra complexity by licorice, tarragon, and clove aromas, all held together by a firm, chewy tannic grip. A great value wine that’s easy to drink but which also has great depth.
