Erggelet Brothers Red Blend Contra Costa 2022

Very minimal winemaking takes place for this wine, not 100% “natural”, but not far from it. This is a combination of the three old-vine vineyards that the Erggelet’s use for their single variety wines. The blend amounts to 35% Zinfandel, 33% Mataro and 32% Carignane. Under ten parts per million of sulphur is used, letting the wine speak for itself, with a tiny amount of VA, zesty plum skins, dark fruits, young blackberries and earth.  A balance of fresh fruit tartness and savory dark fruits.
