Erggelet Brothers Mataro Contra Costa County 2021

Mataro grapes AKA Mourvèdre are sourced from the sandy soils of Contra Costa County, influenced by the cool breezes, preserving the thick-skinned black-peppery deliciousness of the grape. Oak aging is apparent, but the fruit is bright with floral undertones of red roses, orange zest, sage, blackberry, raspberry, and black plum.  This wine is just waiting to be picked up and taken to the backyard BBQ.
