Single vineyard Pinot Noir from the northern region of Mendocino is usually not associated with elegance and delicate beauty. The Mariah vineyard sits 5 miles from the ocean above the fog line at 2600 feet, allowing the grapes to get the mid-day sun.  Both red and black cherry, red roses, and red currants appear on the nose with a soft texture and opulent plushness. The acidity is juicy and full of life, giving the wine ample structure for short term aging.  194 cases.
