Elio Altare Dolcetto d'Alba 2018

100% Dolcetto from calcareous soils in La Morra where the Altare family has laid down their roots. Elio has always been progressive and this wine spends three weeks maturing in used barriques, followed by 10 months in steel before release. A bright violet color preludes the soft tannins and floral aromas with a juicy black cherry foundation. Medium bodied with full flavors and an easy-to-drink richness. Because you can’t drink Barolo every day!
