Domaine Tempier "Pour Lulu" Bandol Rouge 2017 Magnum

The “Pour Lulu” is a tribute to Lucie Tempier who took over the family farm when it was bestowed upon her and her new husband Lucien Peyraud in 1936. Little did he know he was giving the gift to the whole world of wine. Tempier has long been the Bandol to which all others are measured. The 2017 shows earthy aromas of shrubs, leather, cracked pepper and sage. The fruit is closed now , but it should show nicely with a little bit of age in the bottle or a long decant.
