Domaine Masse Givry "En Veau" 1er Cru 2014

Givry, Cote Chalonnaise, just below (south of) the Cote d'Or. We call this "Very Burgundy" in the best sense. Get wild red cherries, dusty earth, black truffle, black olives, dry-aged beef. Sports a mouth-watering acidity and, most importantly, a core of ripe fruit on the mid palate that balances the earth and acidity. Great choice with cassoulet.
