Domaine Lucien Barrot Chateauneuf du Pape 2016

The Barrot Châteauneuf-du-Pape is often considered as one of the purest and most traditional of the Appellation. His wines do indeed have very good definition with lighter colour and lower alcohol (compared to other CdP).  On the nose this shows aromas of cedar, leather and an abundance of rich smoky fruit. On the palate the texture is wonderfully bold and intense, with lasting tannins.

 80% Grenache and 20% Syrah aged in 340 year old Foudres.
