Saint Amour, the northernmost Cru of Beaujolais. Higher elevation and high % of granite in the soil. Falls in the middle of the Crus for body and always has a nice snap of acidity. This is delightful. Smell and taste dark berries and cherries, crushed fresh thyme and lavender, white pepper, pomegranate. Fine tannins and just the right tang of acidity.
