100% Carignan, domaine founded in 1700’s on the site of an ancient Roman winery. 100 year old biodynamically-farmed vines on a rocky hillside. Tart red and black berries on first opening, deepens into riper expressions with some swirling, along with mushrooms, soil and “gamey” notes. Fine, assertive tannins. A killer lamb burger wine.
