Domaine Emile Cheysson, Chiroubles, "Clos Les Farges"

Chiroubles, Beaujolais’ highest elevation cru, where the wines tend to be smoother and more delicately perfumed than their low-lying neighbors. Family domaine founded in 1870. Whole berry fermented, get spring flowers on the nose, followed by fresh black cherries, raspberries, leather and spice on the palate. Great “intro” to cru Beaujolais.
