Quincy is a tiny little appellation just west of the massively popular Sancerre, but the quality is all there. The region of roughly 25 producers sits on mostly sand and gravel; tiny production means the wines don’t make it to the states very often. This wine is 100% Sauvignon Blanc and shows notes of fresh-cut grass, honeydew melon, yellow apple, and Bartlett pear. There is a salty minerality with more of a green apple on the palate leading to a finish that is dry without being austere.
