Domaine du Meteore Rose Faugeres 2021

The vineyards are grown in the middle of crater, the result of a meteor crashing down a mere 10,000 years ago. The blend of 50% Cinsault, 40% Grenache Noir and 10% Mourvèdre has many provincial qualities, but not as quaffable. Redcurrants, strawberry, flowers and white pepper.  The overall texture of the wine drinks like a red wine, showing atypical weight for a rosé, yet there is no tannins. A poor man’s Bandol in its structure and depth.
