Domaine du Centaure Scheurebe Geneva Switzerland 2019
Scheurebe, commonly found in Germany, Austria, and apparently Switzerland where it goes by the name Sämling 88. For the sake of brevity it is a crossing of Riesling and Silvaner with bright aromatics and acidity. The expression is quite explosive on the nose with white flowers and tropical fruits, poached pear, Nilla wafer, and honeydew. Big acidity provides refreshing weight and depth. It's said some growers take more pride in their "Scheu" than their Riesling.
