Deep red, dark crimson-ruby hue, the nose is dominated by aromas of blackberry, black current, cherry and ripe plum. It develops wild, almost feline, characteristics over time. Bottle age lends in notes of leather, chocolate and pepper. Round texture and strong, virile structure. A remarkable rich wine, Les Chanlins has for sure his feet rooted in Pommard. The 2019 is a deft juxtaposition of power and elegance rarely encountered in Pommard.
