Domaine des Marrans "Corcelette" Morgon 2016

The 2016 vintage in Beaujolais is quite different from the warm 2015. The wines are fresher and lighter, more classically Beaujolais. This is a superb example of the vintage, from the Corcelette vineyard in Morgon which is known for its fragrant elegance. Very pure fruit aromas of strawberries and raspberries, floral and perfumed, with pepper and licorice spices, and lightly gripping, grainy tannins. Beaujolais at its best, most rewarding, and most Pinot like.
