Domaine des Ardoisieres St. Pierre d'Albigny "Silice" Savoie 2016

Savoie in the French Alps has a cool climate, especially with the influence of altitude. Grown in the shadow of Mont Blanc, the grape is Jacquère, indigenous to the region, and alcohol is just 11.5%. It may be the power of suggestion, but we get Alpine flowers on the very attractive, inviting nose along with green apples and peaches. The palate is light-bodied, with high, refreshing acidity, given some weight by the fruity flavors. Fresh and easy to drink, but not simple.
