Domaine de la Pinte Arbois Trousseau 2015

Trousseau, known as Bastardo in the very different growing conditions of Portugal, is one of two varieties indigenous to Jura, and in the cool climate produces wines not dissimilar to Pinot Noir. From a biodynamic producer, the wine is a pale ruby color, with an intense, complex nose of roses, redcurrants, raspberries, and strawberries, with lightly spicy aromas of pepper and tarragon. The tannins are light but firm, giving the palate grip. A serious but engaging wine.
