Domaine de la Borde "Nature Foudre a Canon" Arbois Pupillin 2015

Savagnin – probably the same grape as Traminer – is almost only grown in Jura. It produces wonderful, complex, ageworthy wines, and this is a fine example. The nose is complex and appealing, with nutty, almond aromas, green apple and lemon, wax and honey and then weighty and rich on the palate with a mouth-coating texture, lifted by a fresh acidity. For lovers of sophisticated Burgundy and to be drunk with seafood, white meat, or comté cheese.
