Domaine de l'Idylle Roussette de Savoie 2016

More and more wine from Savoie is finding its way to California. And that’s a great thing as the wines are so distinctive because of their fresh acidity, light body, and tight, concentrated structure. The grape here is Rousette (also called Altesse), for a wine that has aromas of wild alpine flowers, cardamom, and green apples, with a subtly creamy palate, fresh acidity, and a dry, steely grip. Light and gentle, but with a firm texture and a lingering finish.
