Domaine Charvin Chateauneauf-du-Pape 2017

A blend of 85% Grenache, 5% Mourvèdre, 5% Vaccarèse, and 5% Syrah. The 60+ year old vines are farmed organically and eventually aged 21 months in concrete tanks. Laurent Charvin makes one of the most elegant and seamless Châteauneuf-du-Papes using classic techniques. Though it is 100% whole-cluster it manages to show delicate aromas of roses and bright cherry with a firmly framed flavor of figs, leather, herbs, and a one-minute finish of well integrated tannins.
