65% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 10% Mourvèdre, 5% Cinsault. This is a serious, but inviting Châteauneuf. It’s not too tannic and has a lively, fresh acidity, which makes it very drinkable already. At the same time, its sophisticated structure make it ageworthy. First off on the nose are aromas of raspberry, plum, blackberry, and black cherry, then oak, smoke, and pepper, followed by a briny, black olive feel, all backed up by a long finish.
