Dirupi “Ole” Nebbiolo Valtellina Larmbardia 2017
Valtellina doesn't get near as much attention as the other Nebbiolo growing regions in Italy, but that just means the quality to price ratio is better for those who know. The high altitude (650 m) transaltes to a light wine with a ruby color, candied cherry, dried roses, and wet river rocks. The palate is soft and silky with some red fruits providing pop. The inexpensive price plus midweight tannins and acidity make this one to open on a regular basis.
