Danilo Thomain Enfer d’Arvier 2015

Enfer d’Arvier is a minuscule (5 ha) sub-zone of Italy’s Valle d’Aosta, at 3000 ft elevation, with just this one independent producer (who farms 40%—2 ha!—of the region’s vines). The grape is primarily Petit Rouge. Smell and taste dried cherries, strawberries & cranberries, with loads of fresh herbs and uplifting acid. Best served with a slight chill.
