The vineyard sits 800 feet above Glen Ellen, planted in 1976. All Zinfandel (although Dane Owner/Maker Bart Hansen sees other grapes here & there in the vineyard). Get brambly black and blue berry compote, spicy peppercorns, amaro and earth, with prominent tannins and assertive acid. Aged 15 months in French Oak, 40% new. 175 cases made.
