Paul Hobbs is one of the legendary winemakers of both Sonoma and Napa. The fruit for the Crossbarn Cabernet comes mainly from his property in Coombsville, the cooler growing conditions keeping the Cabernet’s acidity high. This is very approachable and drinking so smoothly, with aromas of blackcurrants, blackberries, and black cherries. Backed up with grainy tannins, it’s fresh, ripe, and juicy. 87% Cabernet, 6% Merlot, the rest 3 %Cabernet Franc, 2% Malbec, and 2% Petit Verdot.
