Contraste Douro White 2016

Exciting, young winemaker Rita Ferreira is drawing on the traditions of the Douro to make modern, stand-out wines. This is an old-vine field blend of over 20 varieties including Rabigato, Arinto, Larinho, and Códiga de Lorinho, and the grapes receive a small amount of skin contact.The result is a wine with a mineral, chewy, lightly tannic texture and fresh, juicy aromas of white peach and green apples. Weighty, but extremely refreshing.
