Combel-la-Serre Cahors "Le Pur Fruit du Causse" 2016

100% Malbec. The Ilbert family has been farming vines in Cahors since 1901. Their vines are planted on “La Causse,” an old Occitan word for the limestone plateau found in ancient Cahors. This is a lighter, prettier version of Malbec than most. Plum and raspberry take the lead, with spiciness appearing on the finish. Great acid. Delicious and refreshing!
