Comando G "Rozas 1er" Garnacha Sierra de Gredos 2018

From one of the most exciting wineries in Spain, based just west of Madrid. They source their fruit from 50-60 year old vines on sandy, granite soils at 900m altitude. This is one of their top “cru” wines which spends 20 months in large oak. An extremely inviting nose of vanilla, cream, licorice, earth, and graphite, as well as ripe raspberries. Tannins are firm, grainy, and mouthcoating, with a herbal texture, and acidity is subtly fresh. A serious wine for Garnacha lovers.
