Colle Stefano Verdicchio di Matelica Marche 2022

The zone of Verdicchio di Matelica makes up a much smaller area at a higher elevation than the widespread Castelli di Jesi. This wine shows the full spectrum of the grape with sandy minerals, fruit and electric acidity. Pears and over ripe apples sit on a background of herbs with figs and bitter melon rinds. Chamomile and white flowers are refreshing and crisp. The wine packs everything one would expect from the grape and the region into the glass.
