Clos des Rocs "En Près Forêt" 2016

Organic vineyard in tiny appellation (32 ha total) next door to Pouilly-Fuissé. Aged in combo of steel (75%) and neutral oak (25%). Iron-rich clay and limestone soils yield a lighter-bodied wine with a bit more mineral definition than its famous neighbor. Bruised green apples and fresh lemon wedge on the nose and palate, with peaches, firm minerality, zippy acid and a hint of almond and dried herbs on the finish.
