Clif Family "The Climber" Red Blend Napa Valley 2021

A balanced blend from their estate in Oak Knoll, a hefty base of 68% Cabernet Sauvignon is filled out with 32% Merlot. The 2021 shows the characteristic of the cool growing conditions of the AVA, roasted chestnuts, cocoa powder, stewed plums, and blackberries. Ripe fruit without the jammy texture, red fruits and dusty herbs hint at a French style with a silky palate, yet drying tannins and a firm core.
