Clemens Busch "von Grauen Schiefer" Riesling 2015

Even by Mosel standards, Clemens and Rita Busch are two of the most commited winemakers imaginable. They biodynamically work with an impossibly steep vineyard covered in red, blue, and gray slate soils. This wine comes solely from the gray slate – that’s how particular they are. Floral and honeyed, this is a sharp, tense wine, as nervy as Riesling gets, mineral and saline with some petrol beginning to come through. Drink with shellfish.
