Cirotte Sancerre "Domaine la Croix Saint-Laurent" 2016

This is pure, expressive, all steel aged Sauvignon Blanc from the chalky vineyards of Sancerre, Loire Valley. Smell and taste fresh citrus (lemon, lime, grapefruit), kiwi, lemongrass, Pippin apple. We say it tastes of gooseberry although we've never had a gooseberry...it just has that classic Sancerre flavor that is associated with gooseberries.
