Christophe Pichon "Promesse" Cote Rotie 2013

This classy Côte Rôtie comes from a 3rd generation producer. Destemmed Syrah that’s fermented with 10% Viognier to help give the wine a really floral nose and a rich, deep color. Very concentrated aromas of blackberry, damson, and black cherry, with smoke and pepper, leading on to a grainy, chewy palate, with a long, intense finish. A tight, tannic structure gives this wine great ageing potential: drink now-2030.
