Greece’s premier red varietal. Acidic, tannic and savory, we like to think of Xinomavro as a “poor man’s Nebbiolo,” and this one delivers: tar and roses on the nose lead to bright, ripe cheery, dried plum, blueberry, black olive, anise and cedar on the palate. Mouth-coating tannins settle down with a decant, or when paired with fatty meats. Especially good with lamb.
