Chavy Chouet Puligny Montrachet "Les Folatieres" 1er Cru 2014

Gently sloping up the Golden Slope, "Folatieres" offers powerful flavors of lemon custard, apple butter, mineral and citrus blossom. Aged in high % of new French oak and lees stirred, which explains the hazelnut, browned pie crust and light caramel flavors. Burst of acid and earth on the back palate and finish. Quite forward and delicious now, and will just get better through 2024.
