Chateau Thivin Cotes de Brouilly Beaujolais 2021 375 ml

The grapes come from 50-year-old organic vines in Côte de Brouilly, a traditionally more serious village built for the long haul, with some of this seriousness coming from 6-months in oak foudres. The blue volcanic soils produce a dark fruited wine with crunchy berries, plums, baking spices and cherries. The tannins are polished but present, providing structure and depth, with a denseness rarely found in the Beaujolais.
