Chateau Pradeaux Bandol 2013

From one of Bandol’s most highly regarded and traditional producers now on to the fourteenth generation winemaker. Aged in large old barrels to soften Mourvèdre’s rusticity, this is very much old-school Bandol: young but approachable, with firm, gripping, drying tannins that will slowly soften with age. Meaty and smoky with aromas of tobacco, leather, game, and figs, and also lots of fresh, ripe blackberry, bramble, damson fruits to give the wine a vibrant mouthfeel.
