The Sumeire family has been making wine for 700 years and they acquired Château Maupague in 1991. The Cabaret is a blend of 70% Grenache, 25% Cinsault and 5% Syrah. Rosé with a majority of Grenache are rare for the region and the result is a much more complex wine that transcends the appellation. A perfect example why Provence is the "go-to" for affordable high-quality rose.
