Château Le Boscq Saint-Estephe Bordeaux 2012

A nicely matured Bordeaux from the classic high-quality gravel and clay soils that support Merlot so well.  Power and finesse with some of the more rustic flavors of pencil shavings, raw cocoa nibs, and dusty plum; it’s fleshy with a balanced tannic structure and elegant power.  There is a beautiful push and pull texturally between gritty and creamy.  A small price to pay for an aged Bordeaux of this quality. 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon
