97% Malbec, 3% Tannat. Aged 12 months in 50% new French oak. From a highly-regarded fourth-generation producer in the original home of Malbec. It’s not too often you find a Cahors with fruits as chewy and ripe as this big, meaty wine. There are firm, gripping tannins supporting the juicy bramble, mulberry, damson flavors on top of a nice maturity – prunes, figs, and dates. A warming wine to be drunk with a rich, meaty dish.
