Yep. 2006 Bordeaux for fifteen dollars. This has aged most of the fruit away and the tertiary flavors are front and center. Skillfully shaped from nearly a 1/2 century old Merlot (85%), Cabernet Franc (10%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (5%) vines that are impeccably farmed from Laroque’s vineyards, this beauty is astonishingly well balanced with velvety tannins that wrap around violet-infused blackberry, leather, dark plum and graphite.
