Chateau d'Arce Castillon Cotes de Bordeaux 2015

90% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc. Côtes de Bordeaux is a relatively new – and great-value – appellation covering several sub-regions such as Castillon. It’s right next to St-Emilion, and makes wines of a similar style but at a much lower price. The black fruit aromas are wonderfully pure and ripe, touched with smoke and spice. It’s juicy and drinkable, held together by firm tannins and lifted by refreshing acidity. Drink with grilled steak.
