Chappellet only bottles a 100% Merlot for their winery members, but in exceptional years they bottle a bit more. All estate fruit from Pritchard Hill. Smell and taste cherry tart, baked plums, coffee, baking spices, cigar box and amaro. Exceptional depth, round mouthfeel, smooth tannins. If you think you don’t like Merlot, this should convert you.
