Ch. Pomeaux Pomerol 2000

Small Right Bank estate, with just 4ha of vines, and considered one of the best new Pomerol producers. 100% Merlot from 40-year-old vines grown on gravel, clay, and sand soils. Consultant winemaker is Michel Rolland. As you’d expect from him, the wine is fruit-forward and luscious but time has added grace and finesse with aromas of plums, violets, figs, and prunes, and so smooth on the palate. Mature Bordeaux at a very good price.
