Cesar Florido Moscatel Dorado NV

There are only two bodegas in the small town of Chipiona – César Florido have been there since 1887. This is an unusual sherry, made from Moscatel, of which there are a small amount of plantings in the region on sandy soils. Fermentation is interrupted by fortification and the wines are aged in a solera system for one year. Rich, sweet, and complex: currants, raisins, fruitcake, ginger, fudge, toffee, and licorice. A most indulgent treat.
